An innovative brand that preserves traditions

Brokis has its roots in the Bohemian tradition of glass processing, of which it preserves generations of knowledge and craftsmanship, alongside new technological processes.

An example of this happy marriage is that of the Night Birds pendant lamps, elegant silhouettes of flying birds made of curved glass.

Bohemian art in the 21^st century

Borkis was born in 2006 from the idea of the Czech entrepreneur and engineer Jan Rabell, who in 1997 bought the historic Janštejn glass factory, founded at the beginning of the twentieth century south of Prague. Realizing the decline in demand for handcrafted products and that glassmakers were progressively aging and abandoning the profession, Rabell decided to create his own brand, Brokis. The idea was to preserve the traditional techniques of Bohemian glass production and restore prestige to the company by combining the precious knowledge of glassmakers with technology.

Today Brokis employs 100 people, exports its creations to over 70 countries and exhibits in the world's leading design exhibitions.
